Colorado Springs Philharmonic
We believe banking and batons can go hand in hand.
Pikes Peak National Bank is inspired by the art of relationship building … with our customers and with our community. As we see it, the harmonious bond between business and the arts is vital to a thriving and vibrant culture. That’s why we entered a partnership with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic as their 2019-2020 Season Title Sponsor. The generous multi-year financial commitment from Pikes Peak National Bank and owner Antoun Sehnaoui is a groundbreaking partnership. “Both of our organizations have been committed to the Pikes Peak region for generations and we look forward to working with the Philharmonic in the coming years,” observes Robin Roberts, PPNB president and CEO. The shared goal is to make live classical and pops performance “center stage” in the lives of even more children and adults throughout the Pikes Peak region. To encourage attendance, PPNB bank customers are being offered discounts on Philharmonic performance. Discount vouchers are available at all PPNB branches. Pikes Peak National Bank and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. We’re going to make beautiful music together!
We believe in keeping our eye on the ball.
Whether you’re playing “the world’s game” or helping a small business owner win at cash management, it’s all about connection … a laser focus on what’s most important. In many ways, the intensity and discipline of Switchbacks FC soccer parallels our approach to banking: we have the same commitment to financial fitness that the Switchbacks have to physical fitness. That’s why Pikes Peak National Bank has chosen to partner with this exceptional sports team at a 2020 Advisory Sponsor. From developing disciplined young local players to filling their stadium with cheering spectators, the Switchbacks strengthen our community, just as Pikes Peak National Bank strengthens local business and families, inspiring them to bank well and be well. However you look at it, we have a common goal: to help create a great quality of life for everyone in the Pikes Peak region. And that’s something we can all get a “kick” out of!
More than just bike share.
The health-boosting, traffic-reducing benefits of PikeRide have been enjoyed by downtown micro-travelers since its establishment in 2018. Now, the nonprofit’s fleet of electric-assist bikes has expanded its travel corridor out to Manitou Springs, linking bikeshare commuters across three communities. In Old Colorado City, patrons will soon be able to access the bikeshare at a newly constructed station in Bancroft Park in 2020, thanks to underwriting from Pikes Peak National Bank. We believe “banking well” is a part of an overall healthy lifestyle and we support the idea that biking and other physical activity is an important component in that balance, too. Ride on, neighbors!
Pikes Peak SBDC Veteran’s Programming
Veterans have done so much for us and we give back! Since 2007, Pikes Peak National Bank has led programs that introduce veteran entrepreneurs to skills and solutions that can help them succeed in their business ventures. Through the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center, we offer an annual Veteran’s Small Business conference that brings together subject experts on a variety of topics, all aimed specifically at the veteran entrepreneur. Additionally, we have consultants specializing in sales, marketing, government contracting, certifications and financials, many of whom are also veterans, who can help veterans take their businesses to the next level. Just our way of saying “thank you for your service.”
Colorado Springs Hispanic Council
Also known as both El Concilio and the Hispanic Chamber, the Colorado Springs Hispanic Business Council is directed by committed local entrepreneurs who help launch and grow small and Hispanic-owned businesses in the Pikes Peak region. Pikes Peak National Bank began three generations ago as a small-business bank and we have established local alliances for more than 60 years to help strengthen the small-business community. Our partnership with the Hispanic Chamber has been an exceptional collaboration to build up and promote Latino entrepreneurs … a channel for us to provide our particular expertise to one of our most vibrant local business populations. Trabajando juntos podemos hacer más!
OCC Art on the Avenue ArtWalk
Being headquartered in historic Old Colorado City, we can’t help but be inspired by the creative community that surrounds us. And there are few events that are more emblematic of this town than the OCC Art on the Avenue ArtWalk. Hosted by established art galleries in Old Colorado City, this free series takes place on first Fridays, April through December, 5:00-8:00 PM all along lively West Colorado Avenue. Pikes Peak National Bank’s sponsorship helps get the word out and helps build local appreciation for the amazing painters, sculptors, designers, fabricators, and makers who live among us and make ours a more beautiful and brilliant place to live.
Taste of Old Colorado City
There’s no more delicious way to support our neighborhood than through our sponsorship of the annual Taste of Old Colorado City! Celebrating our high-energy food-and-drink scene, this annual event samples unlimited tastes from restaurants, craft brewers, and distilleries with live music from the local Westside band, Woodshed Red. All this fun and we’re helping a good cause at the same time! Proceeds go toward the Old Colorado City Foundation whose mission is to fund projects that preserve, repair, and enhance our historic Old Colorado City neighborhood. Business/nonprofit alliances like this are another example of how we love to partner locally to benefit our entire community.
Community Advancing Public Safety Community Appreciation Event
Deputy Chief Sponsor
The nationally acclaimed CAPS Program is a community-wide, public-safety effort in partnership with the City’s Police and Fire Departments and the Office of Emergency Management. This ground-breaking program, launched in 2011, has successfully matched adult volunteers with their ideal volunteer opportunities, resulting in hundreds of thousands of hours donated to public safety initiatives in our community. We believe that is cause for celebration and recognition! That’s why Pikes Peak National Bank helps underwrite the CAPS Appreciate Event as a way of helping to acknowledge these heroes and to shine a light on all they have accomplished. We are grateful for all they do every year to make ours a safer place to live.
Colorado Springs Fire Department Awards and Recognition Dinner
Dramatic recent local history has certainly heightened our gratitude toward the first responders who valiantly protect us from fire and react daily to medical and other emergencies across our community. So, it is with great pride that we join in supporting the Colorado Springs Fire Department’s annual dinner, to elevate those who defend our safety. This special event recognizes the achievements of firefighters and other department staff who have done outstanding work in meeting the department’s community mission. We’re grateful for this chance to salute some of our most inspiring local heroes and let them know how much we appreciate all they do.
