It’s no secret that former service members of the armed forces make great entrepreneurs. We are fortunate to call ourselves home to several military bases in the Pikes Peak region and along with the heightened military presence comes a higher percentage of veterans in our population. Thanks to those veterans, our area boasts many veteran-owned businesses that make a positive difference in our economy each year.

Pikes Peak National Bank is honored that some of our region’s most successful veteran business owners have partnered with us to start and/or grow their businesses. Along those lines, we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 13th Annual Veterans Small Business Conference to be held at The Pinery on April 8, 2020. The Veterans Small Business Conference is an annual event done by the Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center and veterans from across the state attend this informative and educational event. It’s a great opportunity to make connections with other veterans as well as service providers who help businesses start and expand.

If you are a veteran (or the family member of a veteran) and are interested in starting or growing a business, we invite you to attend the Veterans Small Business Conference. This year’s schedule is full of amazing topics related to starting a new business, earning certifications for contracts, and expanding your business through funding and hiring. You can find the agenda and register for the conference here.

We hope you will pass this information along to the veterans in your life who have been contemplating a new business or those who are looking to make connections for their existing business. This event never fails to impress and this year will be no different. We look forward to seeing you there!
